This page gathers and collects different expressions and celebrations of popular religiosity in the Philippines and in other countries.

Here, these popular religious expressions are categorized under four [4] classifications according to the late Anscar Chupungco OSB.

Domenico Sartore classified the forms of popular religiosity under four categories:

(a) devotions to Christ, the Blessed Mother, and the saints; (b) rites related to the liturgical year; (c) traditional practices associated with the celebration of the sacrament and other Christian rites; and (d) institutions and religious objects associated with various forms of popular religiosity. [Sartore, 233]

Anscar Chupungco OSB grouped them under the following categories [Chupungco, Liturgical Inculturation, 103]:

1. Popular devotions

2. Processions

3. Altars or shrines

4. Religious drama and dances
